How is it implemented?

The AG/AA Bridge is very simple to implement:

1Define Auto Accounting Rules in Oracle Projects for the following functions:

  • Supplier Invoice Costs Account
  • Expense Report Cost Account

2Install the Projected AG/AA Bridge package. This package references the Auto Accounting Rules defined in step 1.

3Define simple Account Generator definitions, for project-related transactions, for the following Item Types:

  • Project Expense Report Account Generator
  • Project Supplier Invoice Account Generation
  • PO Requisition Account Generator
  • PO Account Generator

These definitions require a single node for project-related transactions that references the package installed in step 2. They will never require modification after this initial implementation.

4Assign your Account Generator Item Types to the relevant Accounting Flexfield definitions in Oracle General Ledger
