How does it work?
Projected Rapid Reports has been implemented as a custom E-Business Suite Application with components written using a variety of technologies, including SQL, PL/SQL, Java, Oracle Applications Framework and XML Publisher.

OA Framework screens are used to capture the various SQL statements and parameter definitions that comprise a Rapid Report. A generation process takes this definition and generates a Concurrent Program. When executed, the Program calls a PL/SQL package which generates an XML data file. This data file is transformed using an XML Stylesheet (via Oracle XML Publisher) into the final output, an Excel Workbook.
