What is CPR?

Complete Projects Reconciliation is a product for producing a complete, detailed and quick reconciliation between the General Ledger (GL) and Projects modules of the Oracle E-Business Suite. The CPR engine outputs reconciliation data that can be displayed in detail and summary in any number of reporting tools.

How does CPR work?

CPR takes a two-way approach to reconciling Projects to the GL. Firstly, CPR identifies all Projects transactions (cost and revenue) that have successfully interfaced to the GL. It does this by taking each GL journal line and drilling down to it’s related sub-ledger entries. CPR performs this drill down for all GL journal lines, so any report run from CPR data will always match the GL trial balance. Secondly, CPR identifies all Projects transactions that are not in the GL, e.g: GL accounted transactions, timing issues or data corruption.

CPR reconciliation data is stored at the lowest level of detail in the database. From this data set reports such as a Projects Trial Balance can be run, and depending on your reporting tool, drill down from summary to detail level is possible.
